Arhem Barkatullah was accepted to Medical School!

Congratulations Arhem! Arhem Barkatullah was an undergraduate volunteer in the lab from 2016 - 2018. She was just accepted to medical school and will attend Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth starting fall of 2019.

Ketan's Published Articles This Year

Ketan published two articles this year, a hypothesis and theory article that discusses a biological pathway for schizophrenia susceptibility with EGR3 as a major component  and is a co-first author with Kimberly Meyers in an article that discusses EGR3 mediated activity dependent regulation of brain derived neurotrophic factor.  

Ketan Awarded a Trainee Professional Development Award

Ketan was recently awarded a Trainee Professional Development Award (TPDA) for the Society of Neuroscience 2018 meeting in San Diego. This award will defray expenses for attending the meeting and his poster will be featured with other TDPA recipients in a separate session.

Ketan was awarded a Postdoctoral Research Development Grant

Ketan was awarded a Postdoctoral Research Development Grant through the University of Arizona, Office of postdoctoral affairs. He will use the funds received to do a pilot project investigating the role of EGR3 in Alzheimer's disease. Read more
